Revelation 21:3-4

‘I heard a loud shout from the throne, saying, “Look, God’s home is now among his people! He will live with them, and they will be his people. God himself will be with them. He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.”’

When we read this final verse, a promise, we realise that everything that has gone before is now restored. The mistakes of the Garden, the glory of the Promise in Isaiah, the foreshadowing at the Wedding at Cana, the Ashes of Jesus’ betrayal and death, now completed and crowned by the beauty of our risen Saviour.

The victory has been won, the effects of evil that we learned about at the beginning of our journey have been defeated, once and for all.

We will be with God, and He will be with us. As He intended at the beginning of time, and as He intends for all eternity. God’s home, among His people. Home. The beauty of home, the comfort, the peace, the joy, is ours to share with our Heavenly Father, forever.

Wherever you are today, you can know that you are worth dying for, and you have access to new life and an eternal home in Jesus.

Have a blessed Easter,

This is a promise that we can hold onto, as we finish looking at this amazing story. The Bible promises us that we will be with God, and there will be no more hurting, or crying, or death. Jesus has made sure that all these things are gone.

This Easter, let us be thankful for everything Jesus did for us, to make sure we could call Heaven our forever home.

Happy Easter!
