Matthew 26:48-49

‘Now the betrayer had arranged a signal with them: “The one I kiss is the man; arrest him.” Going at once to Jesus, Judas said, “Greetings, Rabbi!” and kissed him.’

Here we see Judas, someone who calls Jesus ‘Rabbi’, complete his act of betrayal and hand Him over to those who would kill him. A man who walked with Jesus, who had seen his wonderful works, His love of people, who had witnessed miracle after miracle. 

Let us never forget how easily our eyes can be averted from the goodness of God, towards selfish motives.

Judas now hands Jesus over, the man who he had seen perform miracles, heal the sick, raise the dead. We need to remember everything Jesus has done in our lives, and not let ourselves forget the good things He has done.
