John 2:9
‘and the master of the banquet tasted the water that had been turned into wine. He did not realize where it had come from, though the servants who had drawn the water knew.’
While the server was walking towards the master of ceremonies, as far as they knew, they were carrying water.
How often do we go through life carrying water, wondering when the wine is going to come? Water – tears? Do we have the confidence to pour, to trust Jesus, to believe that the problem will become the solution we were searching for?
Water into wine. Tears into New Wine. The lack will become the abundance. The shame will become the honour. The ashes will become a crown of beauty.
The water had become wine! We don’t know when, but we know how! Jesus had performed a miracle, with only water, the simplest and most basic of substances. How much more can He do in our lives, if we only trust Him?
