John 2:8

‘Then he told them, “Now draw some out and take it to the master of the banquet.”
They did so.’

The water was still water – until the server made the move and poured it. Often our miracle is placed in our hands, and it remains dormant until we activate it with our obedience.

The servant didn’t question Jesus. They just obeyed. Maybe that is what made Jesus feel comfortable involving them in the miracle. They had a heart ready and willing to serve, and be obedient to His instruction.

The family needed wine, but at this moment there was only water! If you were the servant who was supposed to be pouring wine, how would you feel about pouring water for the master of the banquet? The servant was very brave, they must have trusted that Jesus knew what He was doing.
