‘He has sent me to comfort the brokenhearted’
The words that so many of us are desperately longing for. Comfort for broken hearts.
There are so many things that can lead to a broken heart. All of them we learned about in the previous part of our journey. Pain, sorrow, grief. Yet Jesus would be the one to bring comfort in their place.
Have you ever felt brokenhearted? Sometimes when something really sad happens to us, we can feel as though our heart has been broken. This promise tells us that Jesus was going to look after us in those times.
